One Extricated In Crash Involving Tractor-Trailer In Purchase

One person was extricated from a van following a two-vehicle crash that also involved a tractor-trailer on I-684.

The crash took place Monday morning, Jan. 21 northbound near I-287 in Purchase, said officials with the Purchase Fire Department.

Personnel from Purchase, along with the West Harrison Fire Department, Harrison EMS were dispatched to scene were they extricated the trapped person, the department said.

The injured individual was transported to a local hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
